Ice Climbing Initiation
The purpose of this activity is to practice ice climbing. It is designed both for those who want to experience it for the first time in a single day and for those looking to get started in this discipline. The program lasts approximately 6 hours and takes place on an icefall in Sierra Nevada, with about 80 degrees of inclination and 20 meters in height.

The purpose of this activity is to practice ice climbing. It is designed both for those who want to experience it for the first time in a single day and for those looking to get started in this discipline. The program lasts approximately 6 hours and takes place on an icefall in Sierra Nevada, with about 80 degrees of inclination and 20 meters in height.
It is mandatory for the client to bring this complete equipment list at the start of the contracted program.
- Backpack with enough capacity to carry inside all the required gear, including helmet, crampons, and ice axe (rental available)
- Minimum: semi-rigid boots; ideally: rigid boots
- Wool hat (without pompom, as it makes the helmet unusable)
- Sunglasses (mandatory whenever the Guide indicates)
- Mountaineering gloves
- Sunscreen and lip protection
- Thermal leggings (recommended if pants are thin)
- Trekking or mountain pants
- Technical crampons, pair of technical ice axes (can be provided free of charge)
- Harness
- Gore-tex or similar (waterproof)
- Warm jacket
- Gaiters
- Water bottle or camelback and food
