Day 0: Afternoon reception in Chamonix.
Around 17h we will meet in Chamonix to introduce ourselves, solve the last doubts of the program and check your technical equipment.
Day 1: Approach to Tete Rouse hut 3.165m
We will meet mid-morning in the nearby Chamonix village of Les Houches to take the Bellevue cable car and connect with the legendary Mont Blanc train that will take us to Nid D’Aigle at 2,372m altitude.
From here, the starting point of our ascent to Mont Blanc, we begin the quiet and spectacular ascent to the Tete Rouse refuge at 3,165m. This day is physically and technically calm because we only have to climb to this refuge in about 2 or 3 hours maximum walking on the trail. L’Aiguille de Bionassey and its impressive glacier will be the protagonists of the day.
Activity schedule approx. : 2-3 hours
Approx. positive difference in altitude: 800m
Approx. negative difference in altitude : 0m
Overnight stay : Tete Rouse hut 3.165m
Day 2: Ascent to the summit of Mont Blanc 4.810m and night in the refuge of Gouter 3.835m
We will start in the early evening to cross the Couloir de Gouter at the best time and climb the 700m that separate one refuge from the other. This part of the ascent is the most technical because we will have to overcome stretches of climbing up to IIIº, equipped in some sections with “ferrata” type cables to help us a little in the progression. After overcoming these difficulties we will arrive at the Gouter refuge, where if time permits we can leave some things, have a snack and continue the ascent to the summit of Mont Blanc. Here in the Gouter refuge the most important technical difficulties end but the real physical difficulties begin, because we will have to face the effects of the altitude and the cold that usually reigns from 4,000m onwards.
About 2 hours of glacier walking without any technical difficulty up to the Vallot hut located at 4,362m and another 2 hours from here to the summit.
The last part of the ascent we climbed the well-known Bosses ridge. A real snow ridge, easy, but aerial in some sections. With one foot in France and the other in Italy, this part of the ascent transports us like a dizzying dream to the summit. A real test of overcoming and patience to be able to fulfill a dream and step on the most coveted summit of the Alps…
Activity schedule approx. 8-10 hours (5-6 hours of ascent and 2 hours of descent).
Approx. positive difference in altitude: 1.645m
Approx. negative difference in altitude : 960m
Overnight stay: Refuge of Gouter 3.835m
