Ascent of the Cosmics Ridge

Meeting at the Aiguille du Midi cable car ticket office early in the morning with your guide.
Distribution of safety equipment and ascent to the top station of the cable car.
Descent to the glacier and short approach walk to the Simond shelter where the climbing of the ridge begins. Climbing of IIº/IIIº on rock on mixed terrain and some isolated more technical steps of up to IVº+ and 2 rappels/roped descents.
The activity ends on the panoramic terrace of the Aiguille du Midi and return to Chamonix by cable car.
- High mountain boots and gaiters.
- GoreTex jacket and pants.
- Sof shell or trekking pants.
- Fleece lining (thin and thick depending on the weather).
- Down or primaloft jacket.
- Thermal T-shirt.
- Inner thermal tights.
- Thin and thick gloves.
- Hat and cap with visor.
- Sunglasses.
- Mask or Buff.
- Mountaineering backpack from 35 to 40L with holders to carry ice axes and poles.
- Classic ice axe 60cm long maximum.
- Crampons with anti-boots compatible with the boots.
- Harness, two safety carabiners.
- Folding poles.
- Protective creams for lips and face.
- Water bottle of at least 1,5lt and isotonic salts.
- Thermos (optional)

- Guide’s ski passes in the Chamonix valley.

- Transfers to Chamonix.
- Internal transfers during the week.
- Your accommodation during the program.
