Mittellegi Arista at the Eiger
Embark on the ascent of the Mittellegi Ridge on the Eiger with David Pérez, an expert mountain guide certified by UIAGM, UIMLA, and AEGM. Day 1: Meeting in Chamonix and review of the program, material, etc… Rope management workshop (climbing, climbing, rappelling, meetings…) Gaillants area.
Day 2: Ascent to the Midi needle to make the Midi-Herbronen glacier traverse and Entrevers ridge. Overnight at the Torino refuge.
Day 3: Return traverse Herbronen-Midi and Cosmiques ridge.
Day 4: Drive to Grindenwald and ascent to Mittellegi hut.
Day 5: Ascent to Mittellegi Ridge and descent to Grindenwald.
Day 6: Day of reserve for bad weather or rest.
- Clothing suitable for the conditions (three layer system)
- Short and long thermal T-shirt.
- Polar fleece or “Primaloft” (thin or thick depending on the season).
- Jacket and pants type “GORE-TEX” or similar.
- Mountain pants type “PRO-STRECH” or similar.
- Thermal leggings under pants in case of extreme cold (can be used as pajamas).
- Waterproof mountain boots of high cane and rigid sole type “vibram” (cramponable or semi-cramponable depending on the crampons you have).
- Socks.
- Underwear.
- Gaiters.
- Medium 30/40L backpack with rain cover.
- Sunglasses and goggles (or similar).
- Hat, sun hat, thin and thick waterproof gloves (depending on the season).
- Balaclava, Buff, etc…
- Protective cream for face and lips.
- Thermo for the day (optional).
- Headlamp (spare batteries).
- Harness.
- Anchor rope.
- Belay device with “REVERSO” type screw carabiner.
- Crampons with “anti boot”.
- Telescopic ski poles (optional).
- Ice axe.
- Helmet.
- Shelter sleeping bag.
- Personal hygiene kit.

- My services as a high mountain guide during the 6 days of the program.
- The previous arrangements of reservation in Refuges / Gitê / Hotel.
- My lodging and meals in Chamonix (in the valley).
- My travel from Spain to Chamonix.
- My cable cars in the Chamonix Valley.
- Accident insurance.
Not Included:
- Your transport Spain-Chamonix round trip.
- Transport Chamonix – Grindenwald.
- Accommodation in Chamonix, either in Gitê / Hotel / Refuge (I leave this to your taste).
- My lodging and meals in the Refuges or Hotel in Switzerland (If it is the case, it is up to you).
