Heliski

Your first heliskiing experience. An exclusive territory of more than 300 km2. The Aran Valley is located in the center of the Pyrenees, with a northeast orientation, it presents very good conditions for practicing freeride skiing and snowboarding. The orography of its mountains allows descents of more than 1000 meters of unevenness, with Montarto being the highest peak in the valley.

Trekking Gokyo + Island Peak

On this trip we will enter a world of mountains, villages and Buddhist gompas in a setting of incomparable nature and with impressive views. In a wonderful country, with lovely people who live above 4,000m. Born porters, the Serpa breed is one of the strongest and best adapted to altitude. The trek will be completed with a perfect view of Everest and surroundings.

Program

Day 01: Madrid or Barcelona – Kathmandu
Departure by international flight. Night on board.

Day 02: Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel and rest of the day free to visit the city and the Buddhist and Hindu monasteries. Accommodation.

Day 3: Kathmandu – Lukla – Phakding (2650 m) – 2:40 p.m.
Departure by plane to Lukla. This is a mountain flight that depends enormously on the weather conditions, therefore the flight could be delayed until more favorable situations. Arrival in Lukla where we will begin the trekking. After about two and a half hours of walking we arrived at Phakding.

Day 4: Phakding – Namche Bazaar. (3,450 meters) – 4.45 h.
At the beginning of the stage, the path is up-down and we will cross the Dhud Khosi river several times. Upon reaching the Monjo town (3000 m), after doing the required procedures and permits, we will enter the Sagarmatha National Park (Everest), to continue with a strong zig-zag climb, and where we will not cut short since in one of the curves we will observe Mount Everest. After almost 5 hours of walking we will arrive at Namche Bazar, capital of the Sherpa people.

Day 5: Namche Bazaar. (3,450 mts.) Free day.
In the morning we will make a circuit of about 4 hours, which will help us to acclimatize and where we will enjoy magnificent views of Everest. In the afternoon, free time to wander around and visit the Tibetan markets.

Day 6: Namche Bazar – Phortse Tenga (3575 m) – 3.50 h.
We will start the day with a steep climb until we reach Mon la Pass (3972 m). This is a wonderful place and from where we can see the Ama Dablan and the Tiamboche Monastery. Here we will stop for a while to acclimatize, and we will continue downhill to Phortse Tenga.

Day 7: Phortse Tenga – Machermo (4375 m) 4:20 a.m.
As soon as you leave there is a strong climb up to 4000 m. where it softens After passing through the towns of Labharma and Luza we will reach Machermo.

Day 8: Machermo – Gokyo Ri (5,340 m) – Gokyo (4,750 m) – 7:45 a.m.
After our arrival in Gokyo, we will continue to Gokyo Ri, where we will enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Himalayas, we will be able to observe Everest, Makalu, Lhotse… Then we will descend to Gokyo.

Day 9: Gokyo – Thagnag (4640 m) – 2:30 p.m.
In the morning, if the weather conditions were adverse the day before and we couldn’t, we will ascend to Gokyo Ri, and then we will continue to Thagnag. 2:30 p.m.

Day 10: Thagnag – Chola Pass (5,400 m) – Dhzonglha (4,830 m) – 7:45 a.m.
This day is very important. We start the day with a steep climb, and after an hour and a half we reach a col at 5000 m from here you can see the Chola Pass. We continue climbing for 3 hours and if the snow allows us we will pass the Chola Pass, (5300 m) from where we will see the Cho Oyu and several mountains over 7000 m. Then we will descend through a long valley until we reach Dzonglha.

Day 11: Dzonglha – Gorakshep (5140 mts) – 4:30 a.m. Kala Pattar + 3 hours
We leave from Dzonglha, after 2 hours and a half we will arrive at the town of Lobuche.
This is the great day of the Everest trek, in which we are going to enjoy, weather permitting, the best views of Everest and its surroundings. We will head towards Gorak Shep (5,150 meters) along the left bank, a settlement inhabited only in season. After regaining strength here, we will climb the 400 mts. that separate us from the top of Kala Pattar (translated as “Black Stone”). The views, both of the Everest massif and of the south face of Pumori, are spectacular.

NOTE: Visits to Kala Pattar and Base Camp are optional, and it is recommended to do them as long as the acclimatization is adequate and we have a good physical condition to be able to carry them out with guarantees.

Day 12: Gorak Shep – Dimboche (4400 mts.) – 4:30 a.m. + 3:30 a.m. Base Camp (5,364 mts.)
We will get up very early to be able to visit Base Camp (it is recommended as long as you are well acclimatized and strong, since the rest of the stage is long). We will return to the lodge to have breakfast, and later continue with the descent along the path of the previous day, until we catch the crossroads that will take us to our accommodation in Dimboche.

Day 13: Dimboche – Tyangboche (3875 mts.) – 3:15 p.m.
The route descends from Dingboche to the Imja Khola Valley, then we will cross a wooden bridge and the path ascends until we reach Tiamboche. We will take advantage of this day to visit the famous Tyangboche Monastery, an emblematic place of local Buddhist culture. We will be able to visit it in the afternoon and meet the lama who live in it.

Day 14: Tyangboche (3875 mts.) – Namche Bazar – 4:00 a.m.
We will start the day with beautiful views of Everest and Lhotse. It begins with a steep descent until you cross the river in the town of Phumki. We continue up to Namche Bazar for about 3 hours. We will go to Namche Bazar. We will have the afternoon free.

Day 15: Namche Bazar – Lukla 8:00 a.m.
We will continue along the path we already know to Phakding. From here we will continue to Lukla. accommodation

Day 1

Departure by flight from Madrid (check other origins) to Sapporo with Himal Mountain Adventures travel guide. Night on board.

Day 2

After the trip, arrival in Sapporo and transfer by private vehicle with driver to our hotel in the Niseko area. Depending on the flight, night skiing is possible. In Japan, driving is a very important and delicate part due to the snow and roads. Our driver is an expert in winter driving.

Day 3 and 4

Breakfast. Days dedicated to skiing at the famous Niseko United ski resort, which will allow us to get used to skiing in Japan, get our first impressions and enjoy some high-quality off-piste skiing.

Day 5

Breakfast. Today we will go skiing to nearby Rusutsu where we will enjoy its wild surroundings where we will hardly find any tourists. After skiing, we can optionally go to the Onsen (traditional hot springs) of Makkari with views of the Yotei Volcano. Accommodation.

Day 6

Breakfast. Today we will get up a little earlier than usual to go to Kiroro where we will discover a jewel of a resort with views of the Sea of ​​Japan and very little known to most skiers. After skiing we will continue our journey to Furano. Hotel.
